Membership Dues effective January 1, 2007
Dues per member per year $50.00
Parking fee per household per year $20.00
Student Membership for ages 18 to 25 with valid ID $25.00

Becoming a member of the Germania is really easy. Just print and fill out a membership application and mail it to the Society with your check. Your application will be submitted to the membership for approval at the next monthly membership meeting for approval. You will be notified of the Membership vote after the monthly meeting.
The Germania membership activities are directed by:

99% of our activities take place in the Germania Building on South Front Street in Columbus’ Brewery District.
In the absence of your decision to participate in one of our auxiliaries as an active member you will join the Germania as a Social Member. All members in good standing are voting members in the Germania.
Here are the principal groups and their activities on location:
- Social Membership: All Social Members, ladies and men, have access to the Germania when it is open for activities for any of its auxiliary units. Social members come to visit with friends, to play cards or games, or to attend dinner dances. Social members support the activities of the Germania, and carry the message of friendship from the Germania to the community. The facility is also available for rental to social members at a substantial discount for private membership family celebrations.
- Chorus Membership: Women and men who enjoy singing will find themselves welcome in our choruses. Both choruses practice the same night. Many of our chorus members are couples who both enjoy practicing German and other European/American oriented music. The environment is informal and relaxed. It is a great place to make friends. Chorus practice is both for the enjoyment of its members and in preparation for performances here and abroad.
- Volkstänzer (Folk dancers):This group practices principally German Folk Dances to be performed at Germania festivals and community events.
- Ladies’ Auxiliary: Women in the Germania are equal partners. They have voting rights just like our male members. In the years of the Ladies’ Auxiliaries existence it has demonstrated the women’s commitment to the support of the society by way of fundraising, chairing important Germania festivals, and providing dedicated members to serve the Society as officers. We welcome women in the community to join our Ladies’ Auxiliary.
- Radfahrer Verein (Bicycle Association): This fairly recently organized group offers a home to bicycle enthusiasts. The group schedules several events during the year for travel along scenic routes in Central Ohio. Its members in good standing have year around access to the Germania to its social activities.
Becoming a member of the Germania opens the door to meeting many wonderful people. Come, join the Germania.
